The American Association of Nurse Practitioners Announces Opposition to Revised California Bill

BREAKING NEWS - AANP POSITION CHANGE ON CALIFORNIA SB 491 Senate Bill 491, the NP bill, picked up several problematic amendments during the hearing yesterday. These changes essentially maintain the status quo and add new challenges. AANP will be sharing this press release with all stakeholders, legislators and the media later today. We wanted to alert you first, and thank you for your efforts to educate legislators throughout this bill's process. Unfortunately the changes needed to make the bill workable at the state Capitol have made the bill no longer work for addressing CA's needs.
