Advocacy Day in Albany 2019 - Applied for 8 CEs!
Learning Objectives:
- Identify criteria for issues of importance to NPs and discuss bills that are pending in both houses.
- Identify the legislative membership of relevant committees as they relate to issues or bills, and learn how to navigate the Senate/ Assembly web site
- Learn and rehearse the elements of a successful lobby visit
- Identify relevant aspects to report to reflect legislators’ stands on issues
Date: March 13th, 2019
Time: 6am to 5:30pm
Location: Albany, NY
Transportation:
- 6 AM - check in 8th avenue between 30th and 31st street Monsey Tours Bus
- 6:15 AM - departure to Albany, estimated arrival time 9:30 AM
- 2:15 PM - departure to NYC, estimated arrival time 5:30 PM
We offer members and non members a trip to Albany leaving Midtown Manhattan and returning the same day.
Members: FREE
Non Members: $30
Please RSVP to reserve your seat on the bus by February 25th, 2019.
