Additional Information

Mental health during the perinatal period—pregnancy and the first year postpartum—is crucial for both the mother and baby. The emotional and physical challenges of this time can increase the risk of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and postpartum PTSD. Hormonal changes, sleep deprivation, and adjusting to new responsibilities can all contribute to these struggles.  This presentation will address the issues that perinatal women face pre and post delivery.

Jordana relocated back to NYC in 2010 to join the National Health Service Corp. She worked at NYU Langone’s Brooklyn campus with underserved clients from 2010 to 2016. Jordana continues to moonlight at NYU Langone Hospital. She has been a board member of Nurse Practitioners of NY since 2010. She is the present Chair of the Educational Committee and strives to bring continuing education to primary care and specialty health care professionals in the NYC area. She has lectured numerous primary care practitioners on psychopharmacological therapies. Jordana has 17 years of clinical experience as a Psychopharmacologist in various inpatient and outpatient settings. As a nurse, she provides holistic care, and as a previous neuropsychiatry researcher, and presently as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Jordana will focus on maximizing your potential with minimal side effects.
