Position Description

Endocrinology inpatient Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position available in the SE area of Massachusetts - 20 min from Providence, RI, 1 hour from Boston, 30 min from Cape Cod

  • Experienced Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Inpatient Hospitalist team
  • Full time day shift position - 7a-7p - 7on 7off, splitting holidays with other providers
  • Night call is extremely light and is rotated weekly
  • Area of MA has a disproportionate prevalence of diabetes compared to the rest of MA
  • Evaluations of new and established diabetic patients, diabetic teaching, initiation or oral/insulin therapy, management of hyperglycemic states, management of DKA and hyperosmolar states, management of peri-operative blood sugars, and consultation about thyroid conditions. 
  • Supervised by physicians, one hospital, alternating weeks with another experienced APP
  • EMR used is eClinicalworks in clinic
  • Salary based on exp with generous benefits, periodic performance reviews for productivity bonuses and annual salary increases
  • New grads completing strongly interested in Endocrinology welcome
