Position Description
Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Location: Northeastern United States (Onsite/Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time/Perm
Compensation
Pay Range: $105000K-$150000K
Description
Work in an interdisciplinary team within a community-based health center.
Responsible for assessment, psychiatric treatment, and consultation for primary health care clients.
Experience with vulnerable individuals facing serious mental health and addiction issues.
Participate in crisis intervention as needed.
Collaborate With Primary Psychotherapists On Treatment Planning.
Provide psychiatric follow-up and assessments for clients on medication-assisted treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial and follow-up psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
Perform comprehensive mental status exams and risk assessments.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medication for enrolled clients.
Write progress notes within 24 hours after sessions.
Develop and implement clinical supervision for the program.
Participate in quality improvement processes.
Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing and a post-master's certificate with a license to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
3-5 years of clinical experience with communities at risk and families affected by mental illness and substance abuse.
Proficiency in group facilitation and knowledge of psychopathology and differential diagnosis.
Bilingual (English-Spanish) is desirable.
