APP – St. Michael’s Medical Center, Newark, NJ (Fully‑Staffed ED) Compensation & Contract Details

• Hours 1–12: $100/hr (1099 independent contractor)

• Hours 13+: $110/hr

• Contract Type: 1099

• Malpractice Coverage: Included, with tail protection

ED Volume & Facility

• Annual Patient Volume: Approximately 39,000 visits/year

• ED Structure: Fully staffed, regional tertiary-care emergency department

• EMR: Epic with Dragon dictation capabilities

⏰ Shift Schedule Options

• Day Shift: 7 AM–7 PM

• Mid Shift: 10 AM–10 PM

• Night Shift: 5 PM–5 AM

• Weekend Coverage: 8 AM–8 PM and 2 PM–2 AM

Scheduling Expectations

• Full-Time: 12 shifts/month (must include 2 weekend shifts + holiday rotation)

• Part-Time: 6 shifts/month (must include 1 weekend shift + holiday rotation)

Ideal Candidate

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New Jersey (or eligible)

• The last 2 years of recent Experience in a Hospital Emergency Department setting as a APP

• Familiarity with Epic and Dragon EMR systems a strong plus
