NYSPFP Regional Conferences: Advancing Opioid Safety and Glycemic Control in the Inpatient Setting

NYSPFP, in collaboration with the Society for Hospital Medicine (SHM), is pleased to announce Advancing Opioid Safety and Glycemic Control in the Inpatient Setting, five regional, in-person conferences to be held at various locations throughout New York State.

NYSPFP adverse drug event conferences are intended to help hospitals implement related protocols and other key interventions.

Each session will cover the following:

  • Innovations in performance improvement strategies to continually enhance quality
  • Protocols, order sets, and other key interventions for critical care and non-critical care patients

CMEs will be provided at each conference. CMEs can also be used toward American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification and New York State pharmacists' licensure requirements. Please refer to the appropriate credentialing or licensing agency for questions about CMEs.

Speakers
SHM has selected expert faculty to appear at each conference to present the latest, evidence-based best practices for safely and effectively optimizing pain control and blood glucose levels during inpatient care transitions.

Who Should Attend
The sessions are for multidisciplinary hospital staff responsible for opioid management, insulin management, and adverse drug event reduction. NYSPFP encourages hospitalists, intensivists, pharmacists, nutritionists, nurses, diabetes educators, pain management staff, and other quality and safety leaders to attend.
