NURSE PRACTITIONER JOB: HIV Clinical Coordinator in NYC
Essentially, the Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for Quality Improvement of the Primary Care network’s HIV Care Program; along with some administrative management aspects; as well as being clinically active as a direct care provider. The currently anticipated time-split is 60% admin and 40% clinical.
Out-of-the-gate challenges include improving coordination among providers, QI and Practice Transformation project management; and eventually integrating some research that could positively impact this very important program.
There may also be some management of patients who are HIV-negative High Utilization patients, though in exactly the same manner that an HIV-positive person would be managed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Nurse Practitioner who is Board Certified in their respective field
- AAHIV Certified is strongly preferred
- Prefer to have some demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in an HIV Service line
