Nurses’ Attitudes Toward Transgender Individuals - Doctoral Student Research Study: SECOND REQUEST

Posted almost 6 years ago by Susan Moscou

This announcement has 1 attachment:

I am conducting a study about nurses’ attitudes toward transgender individuals.  I am asking Registered Nurses (RN) or Nurse Practitioners (NP) who are licensed and practicing to participate in my study.

The results will be reported in a dissertation that I will complete as a requirement of my graduate program.

In total, it will take about 15 minutes of your time to complete all activities.

During participation, you will complete a total of 4 tasks:

The first two tasks are online activities about transmen and transwomen. Please note these are separated into 2 different tasks, one activity about transmen and one activity about transwomen.

Within each task, there will be a total of 7 total trials with different instructions shown on screen prior to starting each trial.  Please pay close attention.

The third task is a set of 32 questions that ask you to rate your attitudes toward gender.

The fourth task is a short series of questions about you (age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, occupation, etc.)

To qualify for this study, you must be over the age of 18 and a licensed and practicing RN or NP.

Your participation in this study is voluntary. Any information you provide will be anonymous - that is, recorded without any identifying information that is linked to you.

Your participation will make an important contribution to improving transgender healthcare and also support me in the successful completion of my dissertation, a requirement for me to graduate next year from my graduate program.

The link to the study is: https://mili2nd.co/fgib (also included within the flyer)

Thank you for your consideration.

 Best,
