Dear Women's Health Nurse Practitioner,

The National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health (NPWH)/ Association of Women's Health, Obstetrics, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Task Force is actively working on the 7th revised edition of the  NPWH/AWHONN Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Education and Practice Guidelines.

The role of the WHNP has and continues to evolve and expand. As WHNPs in clinical practice your input is important to inform the Task Force of the scope of health care provided by nurse practitioners educationally prepared for the women's health population focus.   If you are a currently practicing WHNP you are eligible to participate in the Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Role and Competencies Survey. Your participation is voluntary and anonymous. You can access the survey through the link to Survey Monkey provided below. The survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete. The Principal Investigator (PI) will be the only person with access to individual survey results, and all data will be presented in an aggregate format without individual identification. All raw data will be stored on a password secured computer and destroyed after data analysis is completed.   The data from this survey will be used not only to assist in the work of the Task Force on the Guidelines, but will also provide both NPWH and AWHONN with valuable information that can be used to determine what continuing education topics and articles for the organizations' journals would be most valuable to their members who are women's health nurse practitioners.   There are no direct benefits, rewards or risks to you for participating in this survey. You may find professional satisfaction in contributing to knowledge about the current role of WHNPs.
