Here are the answers to the networking questions we asked at our last monthly meeting:

Question: Name one important element about Nurse Practitioner practice that a student or new graduate should know.

Your Answers:

• Embrace your RN roots. 
• Transition to thinking and communicating at the higher level of a Nurse Practitioner.
• Continue to develop and grow professionally. 
• Identify your resources, ask question, and draw on past experiences.
• Be observant. 
• Assess before treating, have insight Voice your professional opinion and be heard.
• Have a clear understanding of the Nurse Practitioner role. 
• Beware of issues concerning our professional practice.
• Learn to network, stay connected with colleagues and the larger NP community.
• Always remember your initial motivation for becoming a NP and be sure that your work reflects that.
