Members of Congress Send Letter to VA in Support of Recognizing NPs as LIPs

Stating their support for the Veterans Administration proposal to recognize all Advance Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) as Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs) throughout the Veterans Health Administration, 28 Members of Congress sent a letter to the Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs on December 17.  This would allow all NPs in the Veterans Health Administration to practice to their full scope in any Veterans Administration facility throughout the country.  This display of support is important as the Department of Veterans Affairs moves through the process of finalizing this proposal.  Thank you to everyone who took the time to contact your Members of Congress asking for their support of this important issue.
