The Bedpan Confessionals
Tall Tales of Truth By Nurses, For Everyone
A Storytelling Series Since 2014
Friday, October 9, 2015, 7:30-9:30PM at the Organic Soul Cafe of the Sixth Street Community Center, 638 E 6th Street #4, East Village. The event is free.

The Bedpan Confessionals is a live storytelling series about what it means to be a nurse. In its second year, the Bedpan Confessionals will showcase a diverse group of nurse authors and their stereotype-busting, collaboratively edited tales about the work they do. You'll be surprised by how much of our work goes beyond bedpans, and yet to discover how even the simplest actions of nursing care lead to dynamic moments in the lives of patients and nurses alike.

Sponsored by Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing's writing initiative, The Nurses Writing Project, the reading will feature diversity scholar, Dr. Kenya Beard, nurse legal expert, Edie Brous, patient advocate and policy guru, Amy Berman and a handful of talented up-and-coming nurse writers.
