HCFANY: Fall 2015 meeting of the Meeting of the NY Roundtable of Public Health Literacy

Our November 12th meeting will unveil A Woman's Step-by-Step Guide to Using Health Insurance.

This clearly written and beautifully designed consumer publication is the centerpiece of My Health, My Voice, a new health insurance literacy campaign developed by HCFANY Steering Committee member organization Raising Women's Voices, with guidance from Chris Zarcadoolas, PhD.

Lois Uttley, co-founder of Raising Women's Voices and chair HCFANY LGBT Task Force, will describe how this new guide was developed and tested in collaboration with grassroots women's organizations across the country. She and Enrica Beccalli, a Fulbright Scholar at the Parsons School of Design,  will tell us about the unique design of the guide.
